Its just been a week- a good week sure, but its ridiculous to expect a great change in every aspect of your life. Remember, not everything is black and white. There are many, many gray areas (and different shades of gray). Also, if Aspergers really is what you've had all along, that means that your sister has some APOLOGIZING to do that she may not be ready for. She also may not be ready to let go of her perceptions of you or the dynamic of your relationship with her being the normal one who's annoyed with or embarrassed of you. Maybe she feels like a jackazz. :) Give her a lot more time... months... maybe a year or more. Avoid trying to convince her verbally, just stay on the right track and allow her to see your improvement for herself. Also, be kind to her and remind her to be kind to you. the other answer is not correct. It MAY NOT boot, but then again it may boot. The issues is if the drivers are there for your laptop. The problem is if it died on her laptop, it is still going to be dead on yours. the operating system is not on your computer, its on the hard drive that you are going to take out of your computer. Yes the USB enclosure is a good idea, but if the hard drive is damaged it will not be good in a usb either. try the usb. If you decided to try it in your laptop, first turn everything off and let it sit for a while to take all the charge out of the system. that means take out your battery then let it sit. then put in the hard drive and see if it boots. if it does, you might be able to get something onto a usb, but don't expect it to work, it may not. Then after you are done, do the same thing again. turn it off, take out the battery and wait before you put your hard drive back in. It should not change anything. Just don't make any system changes that you don't want to deal with . the hard drive is where EVERYTHING is stored, drivers, OS, everything.

Ok so I got stuck in this relationship with someone who I should of broken up with a long time ago. I have a few medical conditions that makes it that I totally should not be pregnant right now. He sought me out (I knew him bc he is a good friends of mines from high schools older brother) So we have been seeing each other only for 2 weeks, and now all of a sudden I have symptoms, my boobs hurt, etc . I take a test, and it comes out positive. I know it is from the ex. He is a drug addict, and abusive. Has alot of issues. And was trying to get me pregnant on purpose. Why is UPS allowed to hold my package hostage?

How can a company tell you a price for shipping, not tell you about their fee, then charge as much as they want in so-called brokerage fees to the receiver? Do they not have to be honest about that charge upfront? Small print saying their might be taxes and other charges is not being honest at all when the fee is almost as much as the cost of the package. Regular mail brokerage fee is a set cost of $5.00, but UPS can charge hundreds all without the shipper knowing. Then the package gets to the receiver and they won't sign it over without a payment that they made up. How is that not illegal?

I agree with the above answer that writing your dreams down after they've woke you up may help you make sense of it all. And I also agree with the other comment in the sense that, although you have suffered all this loss and pain, you are still here. Make a difference, raise money for the cause to defeat the illness that took your loved ones (Huntington's Disease Association) so that you can feel proud in the fact you may have spared someone else the same pain that you've felt. I am fourteen and I own a computer that costs me 1000 dollars. I am addicted, when I start I can't stop. I play atleast 40 hours a week. However everyday I lift my barbell and go for a walk with my dog to the river. And also go scootering and stuff with friends. It affects my school work more then anything. About 5 years ago I fell off of a cliff and broke my ankle, tore ligaments in my knees and tore a disc in my spine which collapsed and caused a bulging disc as well. What followed was about 2 1/2 to 3 years of pill abuse (lortabs/percocet). I stopped that about 2 years ago with 1 minor slip. Over the past few months my health had been in question. I was losing weight, had lots of anxiety, couldn't put the weight back on, depression, etc. I thought a lot of it was emotional issues I needed to work thru so I started talking to my family and inlaws and decided to go to a therapist. My female inlaws decided to write me off as a drug addict and keep their distance. As of just this past week I found out I have a potentially life threatening health issue which has actually caused all of these side effects I have been going through. I even took a voluntary drug test just to clear the air. I still haven't even heard from them and these are people I have been there for in the past. I'm being told not to even think about that right now but it is VERY difficult. Would you be upset if you were in mg shoes? How do you think you would handle it?

I'm thirteen years old and i'm in 8th grade. recently i started cutting myself , thinking about suicide and taking random pills i find around the house just to feel some numbness. i also became addicted and obsessed about depression and ways to commit suicide. Chevy 350 fuel injected vs carb?

I have purchased a 69 chevy nova. i'm going to try and use this vehicle as a daily driver. at some point in the near future im going to do a complete overhaul on the engine. I was looking at the nice edelbrock 4 barrels and i got to thinking. If i pulled a newer v8, out of like a 2000 truck or something at a salvage yard, it would be fuel injected thus giving me better fuel economy but would it be better on horsepower? would it be worth it because i know FI is a fair bit more complicated then using a carb. but i guess my main question is would it be worth it.

you can be mentally and physically addicted to soda. if you drink soda daily then your body will start craving the caffeine. try limiting how much sodas you drink a day or if you drink one every day limit how many you drink a week. you could try replacing soda with any other drinks you like that don't have caffeine in it. i used to be addicted to dr. pepper. i would HAVE to have at least one every day if not two. when i drink soda it calms me down also and when i don't have a soda i would feel irritable and i would get headaches. but i replaced dr. pepper with capri suns and flavored water and also tea (i know it has caffeine in it). the tea would still give me the little bit of caffeine i "needed" but, drinking that with juice, i soon was able to not have to drink tea every day either.

i sold an item threw my website worht a few hundred dollars. When he recieved it he sent me an email claimming it was dammaged and not what he expected. What i sold him is exactly what it was on the website and i did not scam him at all. Okay i just went to a salvage yard for mowers basicly and got a really old murry 22" with a old B&S motor. I checked the gas and oil there and put it on choke and after 3 pulls it started up and ran beautifully. I bought it, loaded it up took it home and tried to mow. (keep in mind this is a max of fifteen min from the time i started it and the time i got it home) I went to start it and nothing, pulled about 5 more times and let it sit just in case i flooded it. i went back out after about 15 min and pulled another 5 times, this time adjusting the gas from choke down to full and back. now i am here asking what is wrong with this mower. i just got it started at the yard and now it does not even want to fire. please help, its getting dark and i really need to mow my yard. Can my ipod be saved?

Last week I was caught in a storm and my ipod touch got a little wet under the screen. It still played songs and the touch screen responded so I thought I got off lucky. The battery was low anyway and while I let it dry out the battery died. I couldn't see if there was any water left under the screen so I tried charging it. It was on charge for about an hour and responding well then it died. I guess there may have been water in the ipod still. I put the ipod back into a box of rice and left it for 4days. I tried plugging it back into the charger this morning and after 10mins itunes opened and my laptop recognised the ipod there. However my ipod is still dead (just a black screen) and although itunes can recognise its there it cant connect to the ipod. Do you think it will come back if I leave it on charge or do you think when I charged it initially I messed up the battery or hardware? I guess I'm just wondering if anyone knows whether its likely to be salvaged or if its ipod funeral time? Also I'm not great with technology, if its likely to be a battery issue are those things able to be replaced?

So I'm 18 years old currently just graduated high school, going to college. When I was 16 I was a bit of an addict to halo 3, overweight. Disk brakes from salvage.?

i have a 69 Chevy nova. i have just redone the front and rear drum brakes. but I'm thinking this on a hypothetical sense / maybe hope to do this. But would it be possible to go to a salvage yard and find a vehicle with front and rear disk breaks, just taking the whole backing plate. the whole assembly (all 4 of them). Then the master cylinder, distribution block, and power brake booster. Then mounting that backing plate to my nova (not sure how to do that but i'm sure there is a way). running the brake lines to the new distribution block and master cylinder. what are your thoughts.

If i am on pretrial diversion can i finish and submit the paperwork for my suppressor (class 3 firearms)?

i'm on pretrial diversion (been charged not convicted) for criminal damage to property 2nd degree. classified as a felony at the beginning but on my forms the probation officer guy filled it out as a misdemeanor. the stipulations are that i stay in the PTD program under the supervision of said prob. officer for a year. i am to complete 40 hrs of community service and complete the drug and alcohol assessment to see if i am an addict. i already did the D&A assessment and i need no treatment. so would i need to wait until the 12 months is up to file my paperwork so it doesn't get denied? my lawyer says he thinks i am ok to do it now. i just don't want to leave my supp. at the gun store anymore. paid it off in august last year then got in trouble and had to get them to stop the paperwork. please don't refer me to the ATF as all they do is transfer your phone call around in a circle until you get an answering machine that they apparently don't listen to messages from. basically only if you have legitimate knowledge of this subject should you respond. i swear if anybody says silencers are illegal to own im gonna crap a brick.

Is it bad. For 15 months, I practiced for my high school's cheerleading team. They are national champions so they're really good. I worked hard and was good. I learned the dance, I picked up stunts very quickly despite being brand new to them (never was an actual cheerleader, elementary school didn't have it.) And i had tumbling skills that a lot of other girls who had cheered the entire life did not. So I got really nervous during tryouts and bombed them. Of course I was heartbroken when I didn't make the team. I always loved practicing for it. But now its something more. Its doing the dance i learned at tryouts everyday multiple times a day. It's practicing tumbling for at least an hour everyday. I start to feel anxiety or unhappy when I don't do it. I do it at the gym, on my lawn, at parties, you name it. I have bug bites all over my legs from practicing late it night. I'll tell my mom I will do just ONE back handspring and come inside. Ten minutes later, I'm still there. I didn't get a shower for 50 minutes because I was Practing the dance and flying positions and couldn't stop. I stay up til 3 a. M daydreaming about being on the team. I didn't really notice all this until my bestfriend say she couldn't hang out with me because of cheer Practice with the squad and she felt really bad and I realized I didn't care because I wanted to practice instead. Am I addicted? Is that even possible? Is it a good thing or bad?

I has an emachines desktop for about 3 years and then it would not turn on anymore. Every time i pressed the power button the internal fan would start, but the computer would not start up. After that happened a friend of mine gave me his old computer, a Dell OptiPlex 210l. Unfortunately the Dell has horrible internals, 512 mb of ram and an 80gb HD, compared to my old emachine, 2 gb of ram and a 250gb HD. I was wondering if there was any way that I could salvage the parts from my old PC and put them in my new one?

Salvaged title on a Supra?

Iam 15, almost 16 and I posted one earlier this week about buying one used, for like ten grand. But then the people reminded me how much work and saving up I'd do in just one year. So instead of saving up a ton of money, why not buy a salvaged title? My parents are willing to match me dollar for dollar. Tried to make cheese dip?

i bought a little dipper crock pot and was very excited to try cheese dip last night. i bought melting cheese from walmart from the mexican cheese section and threw it in their and waited hours. it melted but it didnt get creamy-it just sort of got hot and melty. i dont know what i did wrong. do i need to throw some milk in their too? also, what can i do with my random block of half melted now refridgerated cheese? i dont really want to use processed and who im making it for doesnt like cream cheese or mayonnaise. is there anyway to salvage my chunk of cheese preferably for cheese dip?

Heartbroken re decision made?

My 18 year old son has had mental health issues for many years namely due to horriffic sexual abuse he suffered at the hands of his bioligical father & grandfather. Since he chose to file charges with the police, his biological father committed suicide, his grandfather was called to trial but the prosecutors felt there was not enough 'evidence' to take it to trial & in the publics best interest to withdraw all charges from the grandfather so he got off scott free. I have had my son in multiple private hospitals seeking the best of psychiatric care for the last two years since he left school. He is addicted to drugs, pain medication, marijuana, you name it. He has attempted suicide a multitude of times & last night was the final straw in that he terrified my 3 year old son (his step brother), myself & his step father by indicating we were at harm & to lock ourselves in our bedroom throughout the night, that he cut himself up with a knife across his arms & legs & my fiance had to wrestle a large carving knife from him. We had police come to the house, he had a seizure in front of them & the ambulance arrived to take him to hospital but he walked out of there today as our mental health system in Western Australia is pathetic, they release mental health patients at the drop of a hat. We have told him many times previously that we cannot keep putting up with him living under our roof with his addictions that he doesn't seem to want to address & he is scaring his little 3 year old brother so he has to move out. I am heartbroken telling my own child he is not welcome in our home. He told me today we don't care about him, we don't love him, we only love his little brother, he is our only son & he is going to kill himself & we will have his blood on our hands. I have for years tried so many hospitals, psychs, taken so much time off work jeopardising my job trying to help him, I recently secured him a job & we thought things were going well but he took days off on drug induced illness. I can't help but feel guilty about our decision to have him look for crisis accommodation. I have tried to intervene & help him do this today but he told me to stay out of his life. I feel like I'm a terrible mother & have let my own flesh & blood down.

Why would the mother of my children not want to spend time with her children?

A couple months ago, my partner of 17 years let me know she may not want to be with me anymore. I care for her so much, love her and worry about what she is doing and that she is going to hurt herself in some way, not on purpose, but just the way her life is going. I am 42, she is 39, so it's not like we are young and partiers anymore, we are parents of 2 young children that should be our focus. I am willing to do anything to salvage our family, save our relationship, but I actually worry about our children when she has them alone. She forgets to brush his teeth, leaves food out, leaves the house a mess, she'll let him wear the same underwera for a couple days, fail to give them a bath when they should have one, etc. Could there be a reason for this, besides the way she feels towards me?? Auto Broker asks for deposit after car has been delivered?

FedEx denied claim - what now?

So I recently sent in my phone for a warranty repair. It was repaired and was shipped back to me. However I never received the phone. I called HTC to inquire about it. They gave me the tracking information which showed that someone else had signed for it and that it was delivered to a receptionist. I live in a house so there is no receptionist to speak of. HTC files a claim (the items was insured for $500) and it gets denied. I ask why and they say to call FedEx as they have no information to provide me with. I call FedEx. They give me no explanation as to why the claim was denied and are unable to explain why a receptionist signed for my package. However, they insist they delivered it to the right address. Afterwards they tell me to sue if I don't like it. Is this my only course of action? Although it is clear that they mis-delivered my package, will I have trouble suing since I was not the shipper? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

What my problem is, is I have a guy trying to buy my dirt bike off craigslist and is says he's an oceanographer. He said he would pay $3300 for my bike and take care of the shipping. The shipping guy is located in california and his payment of method was western union another wireing company like paypal. These sites are both secure but the shipping was $900 that I payed and the guy send it to my paypal account along with the $3300. Paypal sent me an email confirming this but I needed to send a scan receipt of my purchase for shipping to paypal. I did this and then they said they would credit my account with in 6 hours I get another email 6 hours later saying I have to pay $1300 for an insurance fee for the shipper. I have to pay shipping fees because of his job and he can't deal with it. Then paypal sent me another email saying the total amount of $5600 will be credited to my account once I pay that other $1300 and send thbm another scan receipt. Then I emailed paypal like 5 times bitching at them and they finally said they were going to monitor me and this guys transactions to make sure its legit. She is in the wrong, she shouldn't have assumed that's what you meant. I wouldn't be upset by the way she is acting now though. She is probably embarrassed and upset with herself for accusing you like that. Just take the upperhand and smile at her if she goes by. I tried safe mode F8 and when I went to check my folders they are all blank. I don't understand, its a Gateway laptop and this is the 3 rd major incident in a year. Binge eating disorder from long term dieting.. help?

I only binge like that but since I'm anorexic I find it easier to just not eat anything and then exercise. You binge alot bc you don't eat healthy and don't know how to eat normally anymore, and also bc you probably feel that carbs will fill you up but it doesn't until you have consumed so many calories. I get 5mg oxycodone apap 120 count from an online vendor, i usually use oxy whenever i want that amazing relaxed feeling. i use once a day some times only 4 times a week. when i dose i use 15mg because it feels amazing the euphoria is just amazing. I am fully aware that Im sortof an addict but, my question is, is long term use dangerous? Sent a check to private party for a sale of firearm to be shipped check was cashed and firearm not sent?

I sent a check for a private party sale of firearm to a person out of town. Upon receiving the check the person was supposed to have the firearm packed and then ship it thur a licensed dealer in his town. Check was cashed and when cashed the firearm was supposed to be shipped to my grandson thru the dealer. Nothing was taken to be shipped and no response from seller to phone calls or emails so the seller has the money and seems to have disappeared. I checked his address and he really lives where the check was sent but it seems I am out the 800.00 and wonder what can be done on my end. It was a regular checking account check that I wrote, and cashed thru the bank where my account is. So the person has the money, and I have no response to any of my attempted contacts. There is a 350 mile separation of where we both live, and I did the sale on trust as I was emailed pictures of the firearm, agreed to the sale and told him I would send a check and when it cleared he agreed to take the firearm to a dealer to have it shipped out. He even went so far as to give me the dealer contact persons name and business name of the place that was to ship out the firearm. It was never taken there to be sent off after the check was cashed and I was wondering if there is anything I can do, or am I left holding the bag. I feel stupid in trusting someone, and having them take me for the money and then stop communicating. This should have been brought to the shipper and sent out afterwards. Should I hire an attorny to represent me at a child support hearing?

I got suspicious because I could just "feel" that something wasn't right. At first I though he may have been cheating but then I asked him if he was snorting again and he admitted it. He says that he does one pill a day, max. Mostly Perc 5s.It bother's me so much that he is doing this but I don't know why or what to do? I can't tell that he's doing them because he doesn't act any different but just knowing that he is drives me nuts. I don't know why? Maybe because my mom died of an overdose (health complications got her addicted.) I don't know how to make him stop?! Just some insight would be nice... Can you rebuild the title of a car that is being set for demolition?

I have a 1993 civic that i recently bought. Problem is that i went to go switch the title of the car to my name from the previous owner, and they told me that the car was a parts car or needed to be demolished. Apparently the previous owner reported it wrecked to the insurance company to get the money but the car is almost in perfect condition except for the carbon fiber hood. Is there any way to get the car out of that situation? can i at least get a salvage title because the prev. owner gave me a texas blue bonded title but this happened.
